LaForte Financial Services is owned by me.....Peter LaForte, CPA. I started LaForte Financial in 2001.
A few details about who I am first. I was raised in Stamford and New Canaan Connecticut, I graduated from the University of Rochester in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in Statistics & Computer Science. In 1984 I earned an MBA from the University of Rochester's Simon School of Business, with concentrations in Finance and Accounting.
I've been a CPA since 1986 I am licensed in both Connecticut and New York. I am a member of both the Connecticut and New York State Society of CPA's as well as the American Institute of CPA's. I am also a licensed insurance producer, a registered representative and a registered investment advisor.
I currently live in Stamford with my wife Judy three children Hannah, Eve and Evan.
To stay sane I attempt to enjoy softball, skiing, golf, running and playing the piano as often as possible, but that's not been easy with the growing family.
After many years dreaming of owning my own business I finally took control of my life and started LaForte Financial Services in 2001. I only wish I had done so ten years earlier.
Late in 2008 I was fortunate enough to acquire the tax and accounting practice of LAC Associates, LLC in Stratford, CT. Not only have I had the pleasure to work with a great new group of clients, but I also now have a group of accountants and tax professionals that enable LFS to further enhance its customer service.
I love working with small business owners and individuals. Unlike working with large corporations, you can quickly make a difference in this arena.
You will find that I am accessible, responsible and fair. I am highly motivated to build a thriving business by helping my clients succeed.
My goal is simple (as you may have noticed) - be the "One-Stop-Shop" for all of your financial needs. I will help my clients succeed, provide great customer service, charge fair prices, and have fun doing it.
